Idk how anyone can look at this pandemic and not conclude that state planned economies that prioritize people over profits is the way to go. I have my issues with Richard Wolff, but one of his best arguments is that economic planning happens all the time under capitalist production. Business executives cant just not have a business plan to maximize profits and do everything spontaneously.
So the debate between capitalism vs socialism is not between whether you support planned economies or not. There's planning in both. The difference between the two is who gets to do the planning and for what purpose (meeting people's needs vs maximizing profits)
