Right off the bat, I LOVE amphibia! I love amphibia a lot and disney rlly fucked up. Amphibia does truly deserve better

but this has led to some really damaging things that the fandom is doing that needs to be addressed.

On Disney’s insta, they posted an AAPI heritage month thing. They shared their characters of AAPI origins.

this is REALLY important! with covid, asians have been facing so much hatred and violence, so as someone who is Vietnamese, what happened was really hurtful

The comments were flooded with solely questions abt True Colors

Our heritages and representation was ignored. All people could mention was how much they hated disney/wanted true colors

As an Asian this really hurt. It felt like my heritage was less important than a cartoon

Seriously guys... please be more sensitive. And don’t use the “disney delaying true colors hurt the AAPI community because Anne is Thai and Marcy is Chinese” excuse because that isn’t the fucking point.

The point is our heritage month was diminished to true colors.
