I am always in awe at the opening sequence. The shot is just a beautiful angle of the USS Kelvin in space. It is beautiful cinematography.

Awe I love kid Spock and how he always defended his mother from the other jerk Vulcan kids.
It annoys me that the Vulcan council defined Spock being half human a “disadvantage”….ignorant Vulcans.
