hour 1/5 complete, have left wine + orchard country and entered sheep + salmon country

(As the crow flies our island is only a few hours drive from corner to corner, but going west means winding around the mountains)

hour 2/5 complete, left sheep + salmon and passed through pine plantations + hydro power county amid the gum forests

hour 3/5 complete, getting into rain forest territory

hour 4/5 complete, passed through the region where native honey apiaries line the roads and now we’re into the valleys where copper is mined

hour 5/5 complete, arrived safely on the West Coast just as the sun is setting
