AstraZeneca and dizziness, a report from the field:
https://twitter.com/moebius_strip/status/1390789949214007296">https://twitter.com/moebius_s... 9 days since I& #39;ve had my first dose of AstraZeneca, and I& #39;m still experiencing a bit of dizziness. This only mildly annoying but moderately concerning: not enough to hoof it to the ER, but enough to call 811 and ask a nurse if I should hoof it to the ER.
I told the nurse that I& #39;d been vaccinated just over a week ago, and experienced severe dizziness in the immediate aftermath, and mild dizziness since. Was this something I should be worrying about, I asked?
Of course, the question on the mind of every uncomfortable, recently-AstraZeneca& #39;d person is, could this be blood clots? The nurse ran through the questions: have I been feeling severe headaches, leg swelling, blurred vision? I answered: no, no, and no.
The nurse told me that it was very unlikely I was suffering from blood clots, but that she was still concerned, because British Columbia has NO INFORMATION about dizziness as a vaccine side effect. It& #39;s not even listed. https://immunizebc.ca/ask-us/questions/what-are-common-side-effects-covid-19-vaccine-if-i-have-side-effect-do-i-need#:~:text=Tiredness%2C%20headache%2C%20fever%2C%20chills,joint%20soreness%2C%20nausea%20and%20vomiting.">https://immunizebc.ca/ask-us/qu...
She told me that due to the lack of information, she couldn& #39;t tell that my symptoms were serious, but that she couldn& #39;t tell me that they weren& #39;t serious. She advised me to get them checked.
Me: you mean if they get worse? Or now?
Nurse: within the hour.

(I& #39;m going to spoil the ending of this thread now, because my intention isn& #39;t to induce in my followers the stress I& #39;ve been experiencing over this. tl;dr: I& #39;m back from the hospital and am basically fine, as far as anyone could tell after 4 hours and several tests.)
Hospital time! Did you know that if you present to the hospital with unexplained dizziness 9 days after getting vaccinated, you get triaged? I got triaged! Blood pressure was high-for-me but not wheel-me-into-the-ER-on-a-stretcher high. Probably just stress, was the feeling.
