Far-Right think-tank, Center for Security Policy, best known for promoting racist conspiracy theories about "birtherism," is big mad that 'Antifa' groups were so successful in mutual aid efforts in Texas after recent storms. Weird how their group is so close to Ted "Cancun" Cruz.
Their report on Texas 'ANtiFa' mutual aid efforts concludes by calling for a crackdown from police, local officials and tech companies against self-organized, grassroots responses to disasters. Such calls for repression against popular organizing need to be denounced.
While the CfSP attacks 'Antifa' for organizing mutual aid programs, they ironically have a direct connection to Ted 'Cancun' Cruz - who even planned to give the group's leader, Frank Gaffney, a job in his administration if he won the White House in 2016. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2016/03/frank-gaffney-ted-cruz-islam
The CfSP builds alliances with the same far-Right forces who stormed the DC capitol in an coup attempt and backs bureaucrats like Cruz who fly to Mexico while his constituents literally freeze to death - while attacking mutual aid groups organizing direct aid on the ground.
