The last 90d in my @googlecloud bill:

- Regional GKE on Preemtive Nodes: $10 a day
- Move to GKE autopilot: $80 a day
- Move again to Managed Cloud Run: $0.40 a day

All running the same 35 ~1qps websites. I love containers. Both migrations were pretty easy.
The first migration caused me to drastically simplify my CD pipeline because I no longer had access to the k8s admin API. This ended up being a blessing in disguise, because it made moving to Cloud Run super easy.
GKE autopilot might have been cheaper if I could get multidimensional pod autoscaling to work. But after a week, it didn't, so I gave up.
