In collating this exhibition of works i wanted to both draw on my journey & share stories others could identify with. First up is:

BLOOM

I felt huge during the last part of my pregnancy. I loved it, it was a constant reminder of the massive change coming. How did you feel?

BONDING

Next is a stage i treasured with each of my babes even and despite the all nighters

BOISTEROUS AND BEWILDERED

The reletive peace of one child is flipped on its head in the juggle of 2 (or 3 or 4) it's vibrant, exciting, challenging time

BEAUTY

A simple allegory of a mother's love for her children drawn during the trying time of single parenthood and mental illness. Love was a fuel. I know i am not alone in needing to balance motherhood with mental well-being

And then those crazy early years morphs into growing children. We make tea and snacks and outside build make shift cinemas to watch Great British Bake Off. I'll always treasure this moment as my children grow and move further away from me

And then after years of being a single parent family, Mum falls in love and introduces and new person, a new pillar of support and strength. And together nurturing each other we grow
