First of all, this is a blatantly obvious “divide-and-conquer” tactic.

In the best of worlds, trade workers got to benefit from apprenticeship programs that function off an “earn while you learn,” model. ALL trade workers & workers in every other industry should also have this.
Second, if we had continued taxing corporations at the same rate they were being taxed when we started developing our public university and post-secondary systems, we would *STILL* have plenty of revenue to pay for the education of our children.
3rd, if the min wage had kept up w/inflation & productivity, students wouldn’t be graduating w/so much debt.

@mikeroweworks opposes raising the minimum wage to $15/hr, so don’t believe for a second that he believes in the value of workers’ labor. #shill https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/six-degrees-mike-rowe-minimum-wage-debate
Fourth, studying things like photography and art and women’s studies is actually good for all of us, even if we don’t see it right away.

Because we build museums and universities too. And we have daughters that deserve an equal shot at living their best life.
Last (certainly not inclusive of all the things), @mikeroweworks—keep the Building Trades out of your mouth if you’re just going to use us to exploit other working families.

In union trades, we build the middle class—not tear it down. #BTfamily #UnionStrong #WorkingPeople #1u
