Dose TWO complete!
I might have cried a little because of relief. Not saying I did. But I might have.

After receiving my second dose, I kept thinking, âNow Iâm safe from the fork handsâmy body can SEIZE THE FORKS!â
If you havenât seen the videos to which Iâm referring, you should. Theyâre worth your time. Trust me.

Part Two:
So, itâs only been a few hours and the second dose is hitting as hard as the first one ever did.
Manageable, but I feel like Iâm standing in front of a train, feeling the tracks vibrating, and hoping it doesnât hit me *too* hard, lol.
My body is definitely seizing the forks.

Update:
Iâm having what I can only describe as what feel like period cramps.
The thing is that Iâve been post-menopausal for 11 years. No cycles at all, hormones at post-menopausal levels.
So theyâre not kidding about the endometrial lining being related to the immune system.

To be clear:
Iâm writing about my experience to demystify the process for anyone not yet fully vaccinated.
Even if I get MUCH more symptomatic, itâs still better than possible death, organ damage from micro-clotting, or continuing to live in isolation.
Iâm VERY grateful

Below is a good explainer by an MD about why some people with uteruses are having side effects related to the endometrial lining.
(Iâve seen reports from transgender men and non-binary folks about related experiencesâeven though theyâre on testosterone.)
Nothing to panic about.

Someone just brought up a fear of needles, so FYI:
The amount of injectable material is minimal, and the shot is just intramuscular (not at all like a lengthy blood draw from a vein).
The needles they use are TINY, and the injection is super quick.
Fast and virtually painless.

Update:
I was feeling pretty good all day until about an hour ago.
Now my temperature is rising, and Iâm feeling like Iâve been hit by a proverbial bus. And uterine cramping has returned.
All manageable just not fun.
But having antibodies to COVID? That *will* be fun!
