My humble request to you to consider my suggestions for fighting against Covid 19.
Desperate times call for desperate actions.
I do not think there has ever been a bigger EMERGENCY than this to make my voice be felt heard...
The following are my suggestions:
1/ 10. Take help from grocery applications like Swiggy, Big Basket, etc,. and connect them with local farmers so that their produce can be sold on their platform while we are in a lockdown. This is the least we can do for them currently .......
....
I'm sure these tech companies would support that. For the time being help them establish a peaceful agreement to work on on a temporary basis. (Honestly both can benefit from this with a small compromise).
2 /10. Create employment opportunities for people in dire need of money by providing more opportunities in these delivery applications. For non-skilled this will be an easy way to make money while their other careers cannot continue. Without compromising on Covid 19 protocols.
3/10. Accountability of corrupt people and subjecting them to strict punishment. Helplines (another employment opportunity) to address issues that happen real time and keep account or issue law and enforcement warnings / actions against them...
....
It is very important to expect high moral standards from people at this time. The best way to expect that is through penalizing.
4/10. Collect funds and buy vaccines from other countries. Every citizen has a right to be vaccinated amidst this pandemic. If they are ready to pay for it and get vaccinated. It should be allowed to happen right? Collect money before hand and buy the vaccines on their behalf...
...
Create a platform / website for this and tracking.
5/10. Make sure every medicine and oxygen cyclinder is trackable and that it is reaching hospitals.
6/10. Establish an online Covid-19 help with medical students and other professionals helping out those being treated at home.
7/10. People with medical conditions should be vaccinated first. There are many young adults with respiratory problems.
8/10. Think of other job opportunities for people in need of money.
9/10. Accountability and transparency of funds being collected. This should be subject to RTI. It is fair to ask for transparency of people's tax money and donations.
10/10. Allow RAT tests (more easily administered and faster results) to all households in next 2-3days, charge them, but mandate it. Everyone has to do it. (I do not know what the poor can do, except if you give them a concession or an offer in return)...
... Send volunteers to every house to distribute it. Anyone tested positive has to isolate from their family. Do this to Bangalore Urban first since it has the highest cases. Bangalore Urban population is 96.2 lakh.
..Currently there are 15lakh tests possible with RTPCR but with RAT since you don't need people doing it for you and can be taken at home, results can be faster and testing capacity will be more. Borrow test kits from other countries or place an order for self testing kits ASAP..
..I understand they may not be accurate all the time. Atleast everyone detected early has higher survival rate. Counsel every medical students, dentists, surgeons, anyone with medical degree to learn to instruct and give instructions on self medicating at home....
They can talk over phone calls and help such patients out....

End of tweet.

Request all the young population in Karnataka to help reach this message to the right audience. And to add to these points. I am no expert but this is what I could come up with as a person seeking change
