#MothersDay is coming! Here are five facts about how moms have fared over the past year:
Out-of-work mothers ages 25-44 were nearly three times as likely as dads to cite COVID-related childcare issues as the reason for unemployment.
During the pandemic, more moms left the workforce than dads.
Among moms, those who left the workforce were more likely to have younger children.
The share of moms who left the workforce also varied by race and ethnicity.
More than half of mothers felt pandemic-related stress had negatively impacted their mental health.
