Today we lost a good friend in our neighborhood, #Hayashen. Koko Soghomian, or known as "Peshod Vozni" was a war veteran who volunteered to fight in the First #Artsakh war in 1992, especially in the liberation of #Shushi. Hayashen will not be the same as before and we will be +
missing his jokes and political debates.

I remember one of the emotional moments we had together on November 10, 2020. I went to our local #ARF club in the neighborhood and saw Koko on the balcony alone smoking a cigarette.

He called me "comrade come and sit, I am sure you understand better" (I knew what was he going to ask me), "so what about Shushi? Is it gone now? Please tell me it's fake news"... (after taking a deep breath) I said, "well.. according to the 'agreement' now it will remain under +
Azerbaijani control...until...".

He cursed, looked at his feet, and cried ... he said "so it's gone..." and added "but hope remains", I said "Yes".

Koko was wounded from his feet during the Shushi Liberation operation in May 1992.
Koko was never the same after November 10.
Rest in Power, patriot.
