I waited with anticipation to see the green list countries announced, as I’m sure you did. That is, countries where there is no greater risk from covid than the UK and there’ll be no travel quarantine.

If you want to plan a trip, it’s worth bearing in mind that, according to swoop-Antarctica, its more challenging to get to than almost any other place on earth:
You could try and hitch a ride on an Antarctic survey ship or try and get a boat from the falklands (- but then you’d have to fly to Argentina which is on the Red List, so forget that).
The resident population is 0 and there’s no visitor accommodation so you can’t stay ashore. Probably not much covid 19, though. Can penguins get Covid? Not sure.

Anyway, flying to South Africa would put you on the Red List. So that would defeat the point.

You can rule out the Falklands too- also one of the proud 12-as it will require transit through Argentina, as I’ve mentioned. So cross that off.

But let’s not despair, also on the green list are
Hmm, as far as I’m aware currently neither are accepting visitors (and both involve transit through Red or Amber List countries) ...
I’m somewhat puzzled by why Pitcairn isn’t on the list. I hope they’re all ok down there.
