On behalf of our 38MM & all Americans 50+, AARP supports H.R. 3, the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act.

This bill a critical step toward lowering Rx drug prices & improving Medicare.

Thread.
Rx prices have increased faster than inflation *every year* for at least the last decade.

The average person on Medicare takes 4 to 5 medications every month and has an income of just over $26,000 a year.

They simply can’t afford skyrocketing Rx prices.
H.R. 3 helps lower Rx prices for Americans 50+ and their families by
-Allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices
-Capping out-of-pocket costs for seniors in Part D plans
-Cracking down on relentless Rx price increases
Congress must seize the opportunity to strengthen & support Medicare with the cost savings from H.R. 3 by adding essential coverage: dental, hearing & vision.

The lack of coverage for this care can jeopardize the health of older Americans & drives up other health care spending.
It's long past time for Congress to take action to rein in high Rx prices.

We look forward to working with Congress to get H.R. 3 passed & add essential coverage to Medicare. http://spr.ly/6018HhaAp
