y& #39;all acting like "having native blood" makes you native... listen. i have "native blood." i have no clue what cultures my ancestors were members of, bc the white parts of my fam did everything they could to cut us off from that. so i& #39;m not part of those cultures. it& #39;s called-
"nonstatus," and it sucks.

this is why i call myself "mixed race" and nothing else. i don& #39;t claim to be "native" bc too many ppl think that means having some kinda dna tie, but it& #39;s the CULTURE that makes you native... and it& #39;s not just "native," it& #39;s a SPECIFIC CULTURE AND-
NATION/TRIBE.

i am not a part of ANY native cultures, and since i don& #39;t know which apply to me, i can& #39;t even begin to reclaim that for myself. bc i don& #39;t know where i belong, so that would be appropriation.

so before y& #39;all white folks who may or may not have a teeny smidge of-
Indigenous ancestry start talking over ACTUAL Indigenous folk, who have lived that culture, who UNDOUBTEDLY know more than you about their own lives and heritage, consider that. if i can be respectful, so can fucking you. not everything& #39;s FOR you.
if y& #39;all wanna rt this, you& #39;d be better off rting some stuff from actual, culturally-connected Indigenous folks. and if you& #39;re not following them, correct that. learn from the ppl who actually have the knowledge to pass down.
