What’s interesting is that this episode has confirmed what so many of us have believed for the longest time. Hope and Landon aren’t in love with each other, their in love with the IDEA of being together probably as a result of their trauma. We saw this with Landon in (1/6)

the slug episode. He enjoyed a more happy and upbeat Hope. But that’s just not who Hope is a person because of all of the things she’s been through,but he liked Hope and the idea of having a “invincible tribrid girlfriend” after being told he wasn’t good enough (2/6)

As for Hope, Landon was the first one to make her happy after her parents death (and really just everything she had gone through in TO as a whole) He was a new, fresh face who gave her attention so she clung to the relationship (3/6)

BUT at some point (I think after 2x08 but ik everyone has their own opinion) their relationship turned toxic but they both stayed anyway because it was their way of coping with their trauma. Hope KNOWS Landon isn’t the perfect person for her and in fact confirmed it (4/6)

herself by calling Landon “perfect” when it was in fact, not even him. and from Hopes side THAT MAKES SENSE.... the real Landon has betrayed her by writing about her family, lied to her, and shows multiple times that he doesn’t know or care about her trauma (5/6)

Hope and Landon know they don’t fit together romantically. AGAIN they literally prefer when the other is POSSESSED lmfao they just love the idea with being in love (6/6)
