One of the lovely students I talk to on social media was gutted today because to add to the already difficult process of rejection her feedback was that she “lacked personality and punch” and was missing “spark”. 1/3

This is the same set that laughed & whispered over her during the interview & ended her interview by a barrister saying they “love bullying people”. Some barristers need to get a grip. She’s so talented, had 5 reserve offers & just missed out. This is just gross behaviour. 2/3

She asked if this is what our profession is like and I can only apologise on behalf of them.

Sorry for anyone with an experience like this. I really am mortified and embarrassed of barristers like that. It’s their loss and who would want to work somewhere like that.
