The purpose of this thread is not to convince you of these things; I am assuming you already agree. If you don& #39;t, that& #39;s fine. This thread isn& #39;t for you. I& #39;m of the belief the vast majority of people will never grok bitcoin. They will own it b/c inflation and NGU, period.
(An INTJ aside): As INTJs we have an inexhaustible reservoir of ideas. A few of these are good, the vast majority are not. Those of us that make it usually do so by developing and incorporating lots of practical mental models that allow us to sort the wheat from the chaff.
So here& #39;s the deal. Having these mental models are really good, most of the time. But many of them are built on "been there, done that" heuristics. We can miss things that are rare or new because we are trained to sort things into the buckets we already have in place.
One of our buckets might be, subways are where only "normal" things happen. To experience "art", you must look for it in places other than subways. Sufjan Stevens has a song off his Illinoise album called Concerning the UFO Sighting ... that presents this idea. It& #39;s about divinity presenting itself in the world but the world understands what& #39;s happening in terms of models they already understand, UFOs and invasions.

So what does this have to do with bitcoin and why most people don& #39;t understand it, not really.
We are not equipped to see miracles. We are not ready for things that are "first time in humanity" events. We think they are something else.

Part of the joy of discovering bitcoin is in the revelation that it is like nothing you have ever seen before. Your brain starts making connections. Understanding the functionality of all its features. What it might do, what it is capable doing.
And then you see people walking by it, like Joshua Bell and his stradivarius in the subway, like Banksy and his spray art on the sidewalk, and like those who encounter the supernatural only to presume a material explanation.
Mental models are good. They are essential for INTJs. They keep of from a lot of hardship and open up the opportunity to move forward and build things that work, but they are also blinders.
So INTJ, forget your models for a minute. Be a beginner. Bitcoin will absolutely blow your mind. It is a Miracle, capital "M". It is not just another cryptocurrency with the largest market cap. Fin.
