THINGS THAT HAVE HELPED ME BUILD SUSTAINABLE INCOME ON YOUTUBE (Thread)

I want to take a quick moment to share a few tips that I have used over the last couple of years to build my YouTube Channels into sources of income.
1. Posting on a schedule, doing so consistently, and working to increase frequency.

The most immediate reason that this is important is that you need 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time before you can reach a monetization/partnership status with YT.
2. I worked to build up my subscribers as quickly as possible by making high-quality, niche relevant content. The more subscribers I have, the more view time I can get per video.
3. This means a quicker route to monetization (or higher ad payouts, for my main channel that is already monetized). Now, YT ad rev payouts are not as glamorous as many ppl make them out to be. That being said, I make about $800-1200 a month in ad rev.
4. Again, nothing truly substantial. But an extra $12k annually is nothing to sneeze at.
5. Engaging with other creators in my niche.

Commenting on other people& #39;s content is a really good way to make yourself relevant within your niche. When you can land a top comment on a popular channel’s video, this acts as a landing page to your channel page.
6. If you have a good presentation, this can easily help you convert more subscribers. And you can even take this one step further with collaboration. When you make collaborative content with creators in your niche, you are combining efforts and leveraging both your audiences -
7. to create a higher value, higher quality product. This leads to both people getting more engagement and more subscribers than they would from an average solo content piece.
8. Making better beats.

I say this a lot and I know some ppl might be tired of hearing it, but this is important. Every time I get better at making beats I make more money, get more subscribers and become far more inspired as a creator.
9. Honing your craft will make your content more niche relevant because no artist is typing in “Mediocre Travis Scott Type Beat” into the youtube search bar. No bro. The people who are searching for content in your niche are looking for the best thing they can hear and experience
10. If your shit is ass, you are not making that cut… and I don& #39;t know another way to put that. This is something I had to learn the hard way from grinding nonstop and refusing (foolishly) to take criticism and advice from mentors, listeners, gurus, and predecessors.
11. Getting better at making good beats also means that you can post higher quality content more consistently on your channel which will lead to increased growth. I saw so many channels during these audits that were posting beat after beat daily, but because the beats were not -
12. of any degree of quality they did not contribute to channel growth. I would often see that these same people had purchased comments, likes, and subscribers which blows my mind. With that money and effort, you could just learn to make better beats and then curate your own
13. organic engagement. The requirement for you to know and master your craft cannot be understated.

When all else is failing, just try making better beats.
14. Patience.

This has probably been the biggest one for me. There is the tendency for successful people to present their results as overnight occurrences, or microwavable and easily replicable. YouTube is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
15. Even if you land a viral video tomorrow, you won& #39;t get any ad rev without being processed by Google which usually takes 1-2 months. And if you are selling beats from that viral video, cool. You might make $1,000 - 3,000 over a few months… but then what?
16. certainly, that did not make you rich. And you would have to go viral over and over again to keep making that amount of money.

No. Understanding youtube and converting it into sustainable success requires patience and a desire to learn the true inner workings of the system.
17. You have to be okay with taking the time to post consistently without seeing major results for a while. You must be willing to learn how to integrate your channel with other platforms because statistics say that there isn& #39;t a single successful youtube channel that has not -
18. integrated at least one other platform with the channel. And you have to be willing to fail, get up, and try again because this is the process of learning. If you can do this, you WILL see success on youtube and I am willing to bet on that.
19. Defeat will only be yours if you choose it.
