as an adult who moved on to other books long ago but was obsessed with Harry Potter as a child. When do you think the books peaked? Was there a scene that made you think “oh man this sucks actually.” If this idea turns you into the joker do not interact.

I think for me the clearest moment of just knowing JKR was a hack was reading the carpetbook epilogue spoilers for deathly hallows, thinking “this sucks too much to be real,” and then getting my copy and immediately discovering that it was.
Before that my first hint was when Remus and Tonks got together. It felt to me, even as a kid, like a mean spirited reaction to the fandom rather than a plot point driven by the characters. Doesn’t make any sense, they have no chemistry, we don’t even see them interact?
glad to see that so many people are prisoner of azkaban pilled
okay but now that i really think about it's pretty fucked up that what happens to you in prison is that you get magical depression from dementers and also that jkr insists that sirius black was the ONLY! wizard imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit
jkr out here saying if you have depression you deserve it lmao
