J.K. Rowling is a white upper middle class daughter of a Rolls Royce engineer. She also may have been a struggling single mother but she got an €8k grant that allowed her to finish book 1 of HP. J.K. Rowling has always been an incredibly privileged person.

By the way, if this hurts your little white feelings. I would like to actually point out that Angie Thomas who& #39;s book spent 50 weeks on the NYT bestseller& #39;s list (and in the same genre) didn& #39;t get this privilege. Most BIPOC bestselling authors don& #39;t have this privilege.
