Since majority of the fandom was in debate a few days ago about the ongoing rumours of " members joining #æspa " and as requested by a follower...

Here is my theory and 'things' that I found out about the said rumours.

@aespa_official debuted as a eight member group- #KARINA #GISELLE #WINTER #NINGNING plus their counterparts.

November 17, 2020 is their debut date. And Black Mamba is their debut song.

THEY DEBUTED AS FOUR ALREADY, WHERE DID THE "OTHER MEMBERS" CAME FROM?

It was speculated way before their debut date when an acc hinted 7 names (in Korean) on who will debut in SMNGG. When BM was released the post got viral for it correctly guess K, N, G, and W.

According to SM, KWANGYA, is the home of æs. But, Korean netz assumed other than that- it also stand for the initials of the current and possible members, A-Y-A.

There are many evidences already that it was just a whole speculation and nothing is true. Even official workers of SM don't agree on this.

(Kindly please search it, this is an open discussion, its your decision to believe it or not)

MY TAKE IN THIS CASE:

Redvelvet is their senior and co-label group. They also have a similar "journey." According to Irene, their official debut is ICC which means Happiness was a predebut release. Yeri was added after a year due to her age.

ICC album was released on March 18, 2015. The mv was on March 16. This was their official comeback after Happiness and a remake song. As a tradition now in SM GG, after a remake they'll release their 1st CB. For RV its their CB and debut.

Now that #aespa released their teaser for NEXT LEVEL. As I follow the history: SM announced at March 10, 2015 that Y is joining RV. March 11, they released Y image teaser. March 12 they posted this vid. March 16 the mv.

Today, K image tsr was released. No announcement from SM of new members. It will be very unprofessional for them to not announced anything before dropping news/content of any other members. Even in NCT they always make an announcement before they drop a teaser of new members.

B. SIETE:

Although there are evidences, some still believe that they will add new members. Possibly, after teasers of current members.

Is it still possible? Yes.

Aespa was planned way back 2015. SM was just finding the right people for their group. 2019- A lot of old SM rookie wasn't able to debut in the final line up except N & K. Hence, those old members made their personal social accs. But, H got accepted in SM during those phases.

Why would SM still accepts her? She's born in 2003 and she's perfect for the age number of current idols debuting rn. There are circumstances that theres trainees who doesnt need years to train and companies can debut them immediately like Chenle and Renjun (gifted).

She can be added. OR SM sees potential and planning to debut her for the next GG (if she can make it). She'll be the oldest of the next line up. How about R? Can she be added? Yes. She was shown in one of the most known tv channel in UK and she was stated as the SM ROOKIE.

Why would SM put her in that kind of exposure if she will not debut? BUT again she could be added in the next GG. With the NEXT LEVEL & NEXT PLAYER hints, it is impossible for MYs to really know whats the end of this question. Esp we have little bckgrnd of production reality.

It was also pointed out to me that aespa current make up artist liked this article in her personal twitter acc and unlike it after. It could be an accident or she knows something.

In conclusion, there is a possibility that there will be new members. If its that the case, I am open arms. I am genuinely happy if they did add new members. And the fandom should too...

Do they need new members? Realistically no. Theoretically and if based on the story telling of aespa, yes. Aespa is currently 4 and I love it. If theres something SM is good, its choosing members. Adding new members or not we hope for the better.

At the end of this thread, it is still your decision on what to believe. I encouraged to support the current members. Focus on them until further official notice. But, do not discouraged accs who believes in new members. Instead cheer them and talk to them privately.

Overall conclusion, what ever happens I am a MY. Aespa TODAY is composed of Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. With the æs.
