In 1939, Isaiah Anozie was digging a well when he discovered one of the most significant archeological finds in his compound in Igbo ukwu town. The Igbo Ukwu bronzes (more accurately, Copper alloys)

These bronze works were dated to have been made in the 9th century AD

Making them the oldest bronze work in West Africa. Older than Life and Benin, who started in the 14th and 15th centuries respectively

The Igbo Ukwu bronzes were so highly proficient and sophisticated that they were far more advanced than European bronze works of the same period

Luckily for the Europeans, there were no transformers around for them to hug out of hate and envy so they started extremely racist rubbish about Europeans being the ones that brought it in the 9th century . People that did not know how to bath well then.

The composition of the alloys proved the European stupidity tho because they were unique to the site, having a very high silver content.

In fact, the metal ore used in the production was traced to old mines in Abakiliki in present day Ebonyi state.

Other artifacts unearthed in Igbo ukwu include but are not limited to copper, bronze and iron sculptures, 1,650,000 glass, carnelian and stone beads. Pottery, textiles and ivory.

Iron swords, spear leads, razors and bronze ritual vessels, pots etc

The brain bursting part were the glass and carnelian beads. They were proved to have been produced in Egypt. You get?
Simply means that in the 9th century AD, Cairo and the people of Igbo ukwu were somehow doing business.
