1/ Flow state takes time.

I remember acknowledging that at the end of a @flowdotclub session a couple of months ago. It was 10P on a Thursday and I was working on a something I'd been putting off for @animalzco.
2/ I got so lost in what I was doing that when the gong went off to signal the end of the session I threw my hands in the air and started fist pumping.

I know 🤦🏽‍♀️
3/ When @smalter shared the premise of @flowdotclub as @wework meets @onepeloton I was skeptical. I've tried so many different productivity/ fitness fads w/ mixed success. Having heard @tamioladipo + @realictionboy talk about similar concepts tho I knew I had to give it a try.
4/ I'm so glad that I did. @flowdotclub has brought me back to the loving working hard, solving problems, trying new things and getting outside of my echo chamber. I think I lost a lot of that last year as many of us did during the pandemic.
5/ Earlier this week, I finished my 100th @flowdotclub session. In addition to helping me feel good, it challenged me to level up a few keystone work skills:

⏳ Timeblocking
✅ To Do lists
📊 Time management
⏸ Process management
🏡 Creating community
💃🏽 Work as play
🙋🏽‍♀️ Failing
6/ ⏳ Timeblocking

Before @flowdotclub , I would sit w/ a project/problem for hours, getting stuck or distracted. Lack of focus would derail my energy. Now, I work in 50-80m sprints a productivity gamechanger. Many other members feel the same. https://twitter.com/cnaut/status/1386822578870837249
7/ ✅ To Do lists

At the beginning of every @flowdotclub , we declare priorities. That moment of accountability helped me realize that my to do lists + cal mgmt need an upgrade. I've transitioned to @notionhq w/ tags, filters, priority labels + time. https://twitter.com/haleymbryant/status/1372177042490458114?s=20
8/ 📊 Time management

More focused deep work means more time for fun w/ my dudes, reading, yoga + cycling. Now, my to do lists show me how I spend time so I have a weekly gut check to keep me honest about burnout. https://twitter.com/dtran320/status/1365353595009331202
9/ ⏸ Process management

@formulapuff asked a ? during a session a few weeks ago: what's a process that you want to improve? I started to see that algorithms are all around us. To improve how to work/live I need to be more intentional w/ sequence to achieve desired results.
10/ 🏡 Creating community

Working remote I miss the chatter, connection + energy that come w/ a meeting place. Bumping into @jimmydaly, @robynsays, @CaitrynM and @dunkhippo + 🔥 founders on @flowdotclub reminds me the 🌍 is a lot bigger than where I am https://twitter.com/haleymbryant/status/1377236268699021313?s=20
11/ 💼 GSD

Even at a job you love, you'll spend ~20% of your time doing stuff you don't get a ton of energy from. Having a space to power through email, admin work and tough problems reduces cognitive load and gives energy back for excellence in the 80%. https://twitter.com/Carnage4Life/status/1168884387259154432
12/ 🙋🏽‍♀️ Failure

Lastly, building new stuff means failing a lot. Failing takes practice. @dtran320 and @rickyyean built 10 startups before hitting early product market fit w/ @flowdotclub, where they've created safe space to try, fail and try again. https://twitter.com/SamDeBrule/status/1372915610728894469?s=20
