@ukhomeoffice have finally just admitted in writing after almost 5 years, that they incorrectly refused my husbands fiancé visa in 2017 and that they had the missing payslip all along. To show how kind they are, they have offered me just over £1000.
I almost lost my fucking life
Here’s what they sent me today. I don’t give a fuck anymore they are being outed wherever and whenever I can. I’ve given them enough chances to put this right. Where do I even start?
1) My claim is NOT nor has ever been from the date of refusal to the date the visa was issued. Bold of them to assume that the problems caused by this refusal were just to end there, that was just the beginning of the mental turmoil we are STILL dealing with.
2) They don’t include the fact that I have raised this payslip issue several times and every time I have been lied to, brushed off and gaslit. Which can I add all happened AFTER my husband eventually arrived in the UK.
3) They don’t even mention the racist algorithm that impacted the refusal decision, and they may think I have forgotten about it but it was very much at the forefront of this complaint/claim and has been since I became aware of it & submitted the 2nd complaint in August 2020.
4) I just think it’s funny how only now they seem to want to “follow a guidance”... all because it will see them out of pocket, which is ironic. Had they followed the fucking guidance in the first instance, we wouldn’t have even crossed paths.
5) They don’t find it credible that I lost my job because I was sick by what THEY caused me? They really want to insult me by talking about credibility when they have shown me everything but for the last 5 years how fucking dare they.
6.1) I visited my husband on the 18th August BUT that was actually booked on the 23rd July, the same day the determination letter was received. I contacted the specialist appeals unit that very same day who were unable to give me a timeline as to when the visa would be issued.
6.2) hence why the flight was booked. I had not seen my husband since 28th May 2018 prior to this. We were unaware of when the visa would be given, and it was only given when it was because of the New statesmen story. I also have emails to prove that.
7) The £5.48 for Calls and email charges to UKVI on 10 February 2018. I have already been paid for this amount back in 2018 so I don’t even know what they’re on about. Carefully considered this claim was apparently, they can’t even remember what they have and haven’t paid me for
8 - The £50 Doctor’s letter - They said no reasons provided as to why a private doctor’s letter was required and for what purpose but the reasons for this letter have been shared with them on numerous occasions, the letter was for the expedited appeal request. They are just dumb
9) They state the moneygram payments were made after the visa was issued, they have the 2 December payments down as 2018, which in fact they were 2017. Why on earth would I send money in 2018 when he was already home? Lol. Carefully considered was it this claim? My arse!!
There’s probably more, but this is just at a first glance. I will probably look at it again later and be like AND ANOTHER THING lol
Also, for anyone worried about me, please don’t be. I am 29 weeks pregnant and our little girl is the only thing right now that’s saving me from going complete and utter batshit. She’s the reason I’m doing this

Ok point number 10) just pointed out to me by @MaryCAtkinson £10 per month of separation, the real worth of a family life. Insulting insulting insulting
