i need to discuss what happened near my school because it is something very important that needs to be spread. i will be keeping all names anonymous because i do not know that situation at this time. (1/?)

recently, a 14-year-old black muslim girl at North Penn High School in Landsdale, PA. was physically assaulted by two white girls. prior to this incident, they were sending her threatening messages that they were going to ‘beat her up’ (2/?)

they physically assaulted her a couple days ago in the cafeteria and ripped her hijab off. the security guards escorted the girl without her hijab on out of the cafeteria. they did not give her anything to cover up her hair for the rest of the day (3/?)

she was suspended for either refusing to go to classes (because there was no covering) or for defending herself against the girls. there have been protests and there is going to be a forum at the high school today to discuss what happened (4/?)

a video of the incident has since been released on instagram and the high schools pages comment sections have been filled with comments to address the situation, since the school is refusing to call it a hate crime. (5/?)

i have personally seen the video and can testify that they made no effort to cover her hair. i will keep this thread updated with information and i will try to answer any questions you guys may have. (6/6)
