It's time I make a thread about my #THORChain and $RUNE journey after all this time.

I first heard about THORChain in mid-2018 after I saw an early presentation of the idea & vision. At the time no whitepaper existed, but I was fascinated early on and eager to learn more.

It took some time before I was able to understand the THORChain concept since the technology was very new and it was in an early phase, but I eventually saw the contours of something big and unique.

My DEX engagement at the time was mostly aimed at Binance Dex and Asgardex.

In my opinion they had the greatest potential. They had different approaches, with different use cases and targets. Since I first learned about THORChain, a lot has happened. Today I no longer use Binance Dex, but I use THORSwap, Uniswap and in some cases Binance. I prefer to trade from my own wallet where possible, as it is safer, faster, as well as AMM platforms offers deeper liquidity.

New projects doesn't beg to get listed on Centralized Exchanges anymore, or pay the huge fees. Instead they list themselves for free on AMM protocols by providing liquidity and incentivize users to add liquidity in return for rewards. THORChain has grown to become the most exciting, unique, and revolutionary crypto project. The price has gone from the bottom at $0.0008, to the current price of $18. THORChain's current status is that the network is stable, and the revolutionary Multichain Chaosnet has launched. The funding limitations increase gradually with the removal of bugs. Total value locked is now at $124M USD, which will increase fast when the caps are removed.

THORChain is not just an AMM, but has a large ecosystem built on top of the protocol. Much of this is done by the community. Some of the things that are coming are synths, lending, stable coins and much more. It's a bright and exciting future for THORChain and the community.
