The fact is that generally the UK has one major party that sits to the right with a couple of occasional taggers on (BXP/UKIP) and everyone else generally sits Centre to Left

For as long as the Centre and the Left vote is divided, under a FPTP system, the aligned right will win.
The Left don't want to HAVE to vote for Centrists as the lesser of the "bad" options and betray their beliefs.

Similarly the Centrists don't want to HAVE to vote for Left leaning parties and betray their beliefs either.
But whilst these 2 groups, which generally make up between 50 and 53% of the population refuse to vote for each other. The Right will keep on mopping up election after election.

The ONLY way for the votes of both Centrists and Leftist to count equally is with electoral reform.
And the only way to get electoral reform is for someone other than the Right, who benefit from the current system, to get into power.

So the Centrists and the Leftists HAVE to find a way to unite behind a common goal.
This is not to say that the Left should simply back the current Labour Leadership for the good of the country, because the current Labour Leadership isn't advocating electoral reform

But these factions need to find common ground to change the political landscape for both of them
And people will say "but look at what the centrists did to Corbyn", and I get it, people are mad about that. And being told to simply suck it up and accept it now, when others haven't in the past, is a bitter pill.

But there's a bigger picture at play here.
If you identify as someone on the left or in the centre, then your vote does not count as much as those on the right. That's just a fact.

50.2% of people voted for the 4 main Centre/Left parties in 2019. And the Tories got an 80 seat majority.
If you want the Centre or the Left to have an influence on the future of this country we have to support electoral reform

As such, I will be supporting any Party Leader that advocates for electoral reform, even if they dont necessarily fit my own beliefs as naturally Centre-Left
