As I raise my hat to the indomitable Indians who've swept aside all constraints to pour out & help other Indians survive, I can't help thinking that once again - through your goodness - you've diverted attention from some hard questions.

1. Why did it take your stepping out?
2. While India is grateful for your immense courage, how did we - after watching the entire world suffer & having had ample warning - still manage to be so unprepared?
3. As we celebrate your superhuman endeavour, why is it wrong to ask why you're being risked?
4. We're inundated with requests to spread only positive news. How is news of Common Indians being forced to risk their lives to save others positive?
5. Are we setting a date or a milestone when it will be ok to ask how was India once again failed by those tasked to care?
6. To those who're saying no country in the world could've been prepared. Could you comment on could we have been better prepared? If yes, why is it wrong to ask those tasked with preparation, why we're not?
7. If you're comparing with places where loss of life has been higher. I'd humbly request you to help me understand if we're running a race to come last? Condolences to countries with higher death rates, are you saying unless we hit their numbers, we must celebrate lack of death?
8. To those of you who have employed people in the past. If an employee made a habit of courting & successfully conjugating with disaster, would you defend them loudly everywhere as they damage you or ask them to go regardless of the stage of crisis? Tell the truth please....
9. What about the term "Public Servant" makes you think our elected representatives & officialdom are "Not intended to be accountable"? To those who've built billion dollar businesses, is this the level of accountability you practiced?
10. To those who claim it is not in national interest to ask hard questions, could you help me understand how it is in national interest to watch India bleed & give a hall pass to the people who were supposed to ensure she doesn't? To declare them holy cows?
11. What scares you so much about the concept of accountability?
12. How does railing against Babbington Macaulay's mental enslavement of India's psyche, while transferring that slave mentality to the defense of India's current establishment make sense?
13. What makes you think India doesn't deserve more or better? What makes you think Indians don't deserve more or better? What makes you think we're destined for a dustbin existence? Why do you think you're worth so little?
