The first constituencies are counting!!
I will comment on the results of the whole election, but Iām doing this mainly to analyse how the Scottish LP does this year.
First letās look at goals and 2016 results...
(1/)
And before you ask me why Iām so obsessed with the party despite being an agorist ancap (and not approving of minarchism), hereās why:

Who are we competing against?
Not the big 5+Alba+All4Unity. The libertarian party is competing against other small parties like UKIP, Reform, Family, Women Equality and Freedom Alliance.
These are small parties that gained a lot of exposure and will get many votes.

Iām hoping the LP ends up in a decent position among these parties. Thatās good success criteria.
For context, this is what small parties got in 2016. Iāve highlighted the regional votes, which are what Iāll be mainly looking at in this thread.

Regional votes 2016: the LP stood in 3 regions only and gained 1686 votes.
650 in MS&F, 552 in NES and 484 in WS.
If similar numbers were repeated throughout the 8 regions, just under 4500 wouldāve been won. I fully expect this year to be more than that.

One reason for that is the fact that more time has passed and more libertarians have been able to encounter the party. Oh, and Dankula.
How many votes the LP need to stand out depends on how many people cast a vote for small anti-establishment parties.

Also, this is a map I of when each constituency is counting.
Iām less interested in constituency results but I will talk about them here too.
Weāll only know the full regional results for any region at the end of the last constituency counting.

One of the big questions for #ElectionResults2021 is whether the SNP will win a majority or a minority government (since itās very likely they will be the biggest party by a huge margin).
Most of the marginal constituency seats that might determine that are counting today.

So far itās just party holds. No interesting change other than the SNP losing % in their constituency holds.
And still no constituency with libertarian candidate declared yet. I canāt wait!!
Also it looks like turnout is going to be SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER this year

Important marginal seats that could make or break the SNPās majority that are declaring today are:
Dumbarton*
Edinburgh Central*
Ayr
Edinburgh Southern
East Lothian
Dumfriesshire
Eastwood
Edinburgh Western*
* also have a libertarian candidate standing

In 2016 only Tam Laird, leader of the LP, stood for a constituency (Edinburgh Central). He received 119 votes. Those were all the constituency votes for the party that years. Weāre seeing progress!

And since many foreign people will see this thread, hereās an explanation of how the electoral system works in Scotland.
I realise I might be confusing some with āconstituencyā and āregionalā votes. Sorry about that.
