If you’re sick of bad takes on Hartlepool, counting in Scotland gets underway in around 5 minutes with hopefully fewer gleeful Tories.

I’m in Glasgow for the @M_Star_Online, with updates throughout the day on Twitter and full reports online and in print.
And we’re off. 9am counters begin, with the first results expected around lunchtime. In Glasgow ballots now being brought out.

Reminder that we’ll only get 46 of the 73 Holyrood today, and none of the list seats - so this thread will live to see another day.
15 minutes in and all I've learned is my eyesight isn't what it used to be. Trying desperately to make out the constituencies.
So things picking up here. By far more eyes on Glasgow Southside than anywhere else - with a focus on the regional list.

Having a look around, seems like it'll be tight in Glasgow - particularly for Labour and the Greens.

One headline figure - not an Alba vote in sight...
Right - I'm now out of coffee and it's not even 11am. Could be a long day.

Most of the attention on Southside, as you'd expect. Although the Pollok count is in a different room and I'm very comfortable, so any updates here may be a while.
Still a while away from any results in Glasgow, but some observations, both from me and parties.
- SNP looking comfortable in all four constituency votes in Glasgow.
- Labour list vote looking strong (particularly in Anniesland)
- Greens looking strong in Southside list.
Bit of a lull here - scheduled breaks coming soon.

Labour, the SNP and Greens looking fairly calm at the moment. Will that continue?
BREAKING: My bagel was excellent (many thanks to Holy Moly bagels). Now break time at the Emirates.

Elsewhere in Scotland, we could get our first results within the next hour.
Labour seem pleased with pleased with how things are looking in Edinburgh Southern. Anas Sarwar was with Daniel Johnson yesterday, with the SNP looking for a scalp there.
Lovely dose of fascism coming into the Emirates. What a disgrace.

Ft Nazi salutes, goose steps, “un vax” badges.
Man in the centre, Derek Jackson, standing in Glasgow Southside for the Liberal Party, has denied any connections to Nazism, fascism, anti semitism.

Somehow I’m not convinced.
