This issue of secular music & Christian music for me can be dicey. Back then as a teenager, I was not open to secular songs at all, for me it was only Christian songs but getting to the university as a language student, listening to French songs was part of the methodologies
that was used in aiding the learning of the language for us and the songs were not Christian songs. Along the line, I became more receptive towards secular music as this aided my knowledge of the language. Traveling to some countries as well, music is one of those things I enjoy
listening to that represents their cultural heritage.

And even now the question is as a Christian, should you listen to secular songs?

Personally, I listen to secular songs but for some that have vulgar languages, I am usually not open to them. I love dancing and once a song is
played, my body is already moving.

Why am I even writing this? Just communicating my thoughts. I am also open to politely engage with others on their thoughts on this.
