mer bakugou wanting to pick a fight with humans bc he's had enough of them polluting the sea. his mistake is picking a fight with the shirtless lifeguard at the beach

see bakugou came from a place where they have a king. there must be some kind of ruler who controls the humans on a throne as well. he has been observing these humans from a distance for a while now. the humans fooling around at the beach would always listen to one person.

that person sits high and mighty on a throne (a lifeguard tower) and any time he blows the horn (a whistle), the other humans would turn to him and swim away from the sea. he must be the king– the guy in the chair.

bakugou wants to fight him.

so he waits until the sun is down and only the guy is the last person at the beach. he always leaves after he makes sure nobody else is there (bakugou would know, he had been observing).

"oi, fuckface."

kirishima stops in his tracks. he's pretty sure nobody else is around.

slowly he turns around and tries to find the source of the voice he heard.

"over here, shitty hair."

kirishima's eyes widened. there's a guy in the water still. it's dangerous; he shouldn't be there.

"hold on! i'll get you!"

at the sight of the lifeguard sprinting full speed toward him with a weapon (a lifebuoy), bakugou's taken aback. this guy is no coward. seems like he wants to fight head on.

alright, so be it. he's no coward either.

"what are you doing here, bro?! grab my hand!" says the guy with the look of concern stretched across his face.

but, bakugou's not an idiot.

he knows the guy is faking it. as expected of the ruler of the land; he's cunning.

bakugou knows the red-haired guy justs wants to bring him to the land so he'd have an advantage when they fight. clearly the land king wants to play dirty.

two can play that game.

so bakugou grabs his hand and instead of getting pulled up to the dock, he pulls kirishima down.

but he's not that of a cheater that he would let kirishima drown. he knows humans are weak and incapable of breathing underwater. so he holds kirishima face and presses their lips together to supply kirishima with more oxygen.

kirishima thinks he's dreaming.

with the aid of the moonlight, he can make up the features of the creature in front of him. it's not a human, yet quite alike. it's incredibly stunning. kirishima sees the way its tail moves around them and holy shit, is this a merman. there's no way this is real.

even more so when the creature started kissing him out of the blue. what the hell is going on rn has he truly lost his mind.

the creature's lips are soft and glide well against his. unlike his previous kisses which leave him breathless, this one makes him feel alive.

"this is definitely a dream", kirishima thinks and decides to just enjoy it while it lasts as he deepens the kiss.
