Hijab is not a choice, nor is it forced

Hijab is a commandment from الله ﷻ in the same way as salah is. This means that hijab is fardh and it must be observed by both men and women. We never say salah is a choice as we know that الله ﷻ commands us to pray.

Whether we pray or not is up to us, however, we can never claim that salah is a choice as it is literally fardh. In the same way if a female doesn’t want to practice hijab, its totally up to her but she can’t claim that hijab is a choice.

She must accept that hijab is indeed fardh and she is sinning by not observing it. Whether she repents or not is up to her and الله ﷻ and that should not be of any concern to anyone but her.

So if anyone asks you whether Hijab is a choice or not, just reply by saying its a commandment of God
