I have yet to find a good term for a Native studying non-Native beliefs about Natives. I use the term "reverse anthropology", but wondering if anyone else has thoughts?
This looks like it sparked a healthy debate which is great. I have a few dm's from younger folks wrestling with the same question. Thanks for the contributions. People are reading.
Oh and btw I am not married to or defending my use of "reverse anthropology" in describing my studies to others. I know it's not hitting right. So basically I'm looking to see if folks have better suggestions.
I love that this thread brought me to this documentary. Several posters led me this way. Much gratitude to all of you.

As @uyarakq said. Qallunology. Look it up.
