When I used to worked in a hospital there was a tiny toddler who accidentally killed their baby sibling. I often wonder if that kid knows and remembers, or if they forgot and their parents never reminded them, and is that poor family still intact.

Surely this must happen way more often than anyone knows.

Like, it's 20 years later and I still think about this every time I see a toddler and baby family. I actually wonder if it's why I deliberately had my kids 5 years apart.
