i was just looking up how much the vaccine effects your period (after hearing several people talk about it, here and not), and like 3 separate articles said "well, women (ofc they say women) are SAYING it does, but we don't know WHY IT WOULD, so WHO KNOWS?"

NOTE: omfg this is not saying DON'T GET IT *get the fucking vaccine* even if it makes periods worse, it's just annoying to be looking for actual info and run into the (extremely predictable and boring) medical-standard *SHRUG; WE DUNNO, WHY BELIEVE PERIOD-HAVERS LOL*

Note #2: You could be the most decent, non-tervish person ever!

But when you see a thread specifically discussing menstruation in inclusive, non-gendered terms, by a non-cis person (hi), and immediately start with WOMEN ARE SO OPPRESSED, you're gonna set off MANY ALARM BELLS.

Friends, I quoted the "women" part *because it is also a problem,* and these articles blithely ignore/don't care to acknowledge anyone who isn't a cis woman. Presenting menstruation complications/lack of medical shit-giving as a "women's issue" hurts everyone.
