Advice for newly graduated animation students I wish I knew:
- Getting a job will take a long time, get strapped in for a slow burn.
-Constantly make new stuff. Short form animatics, not a movie.
-Apply to literally every job, including Production jobs. You learn a lot.

- Talk to any professional that will talk to you but donât expect a job offer.
- Just because someone works on a crew doesnât mean they know about the job you just applied for.
-GET A PART TIME JOB ASAP
- Donât be embarrassed you donât have a job yet, it takes time

- Find a friend in the same boat that you can apply to jobs with and work on animatics with.
- Treat finding a job like a day job, do it daily.
- Feed yourself and get on a good sleep schedule, that shit will catch up to you.
- If you havenât heard back in weeks, move on

- Your 1st gig probably wonât be at a big studio but thatâs fine. Experience leads to other gigs.
- Know your worth, places will try to pay you dirt cheap cause youâre green. You can fight for a better wage.
- Animation Mixers usually are college kids like you so just relax

Please take this all with a grain of salt. This is just stuff that I learned getting from being out of school to my first industry job.
Not everything may work for you, you can find jobs outside of LA, you can deviate from these itâs all good!
