How the canon of the television series was messed up because of Sam Wilkinson and how it could've been all fixed with one sentence, a thread (1/???)

a lot of the inconsistencies in the cgi series can easily be explained with "cgi is a different canon" and i don't doubt that, but official says otherwise. All because of the Sam Wilkinson map. It claims all eras of the show from S1-24 are all the same canon (2/???)

This would be fine if not for the fact that the CGI series obviously has some timeline differences from the model era. I will be noting some from The Adventure Begins as that is the easiest candidate to find inconsistencies as it literally takes place in S1 (3/???)

NOTE 1: KELLSTHORPE ROAD
Kellsthorpe isn't supposed to be build until Season 8's "Thomas Saves the Day", when they build it for the first time. However, in The Adventure Begins, Gordon goes through it at least 30 years before it's built. We know that because toby. (4/???)

NOTE 2: HENRY'S SHAPE
This is an obvious one but as a 3D modeller it bugs me to all hell. Henry is portrayed in his new shape, which he gains only after he crashes with the flying kipper, many years later. It wouldn't be hard to add it either. (4/???)

NOTE 4: TIDMOUTH SHEDS
Why does Tidmouth Sheds have 7 sheds? It should have 6, as it does in Season 1-8. However, it shares the 7 shed style with the sheds from Calling All Engines onward, where it was a key part of the story that it was rebuilt. (7/???)

NOTE 5: JAMES
I absolutley love that they put James in his original black livery here, but its contradictory to S1 so I have to note it. (8/???)

NOTE 6: KIRK RONAN JUNCTION
This isn't The Adventure Begins but I just have to note it. Despite the Kirk Ronan Branchline existing in the model series, it just can't in the cgi. Why? Because the junction that would lead to it ends in a buffer stop. And no, cont. (9/???)

the line to the branch can't just be the other track because that would mean its facing the wrong way and engines cant go on the branch properly. So yeah thats a very large oopsie. (10/???)

I'll probably add to this thread over time, but all of this shit could've been simply avoided if Sam had just said "They're two different canons" (11/???)
