(1) Kayla Avery's written statement to the police on March 7, 2006 was pivotal for Brendan. She later recanted this statement about Brendan on the witness stand.

(2) Prior to this statement, Kayla's older step-sister, Marie had told police that Steven had sexually assaulted her multiple times since he was released from prison in 2003.

Could this explain her anger toward Steven.

"I hate Steven A LOT.... I hope he rots in hell."

(3) JODI STACHOWSKI did corroborate Marie's story that STEVEN had sex with her at least twice.

JODI suggested they had a relationship of some sort that STEVEN no longer had interest in.

(4) JODI's friend, TAMMY WEBER, told police that she was visiting JODI once, and MARIE came over to visit. JODI became angry w/STEVEN and asked TAMMY to take MARIE home.

This statement contradicts parts of MARIE's statement to W. BALDWIN about STEVEN & MARIE's relationship.

(4) Regardless of how MARIE viewed her relationship with STEVEN, she may have been under 16 at the time, making any sexual act between them a count of felony sexual assault.

If she was 16+, it is less clear. BALDWIN was interested in this.

(5) The CASO report contains a transcript of W. BALDWIN's interview with MARIE. Please refer to CASO Pages 361 to 389.

In this interview MARIE accuses STEVEN of forcible sexual assault, which would be a felony regardless of MARIE's age at the time.

(6) EARL AVERY may be guilty of a FAILURE TO ACT, if he was aware of STEVEN's sexual activity with his step-daughter.

(7) During the W. BALDWIN interview, BALDWIN finds out that MARIE had to be older than 16 when STEVEN had sexual contact with her, and possibly older than 17.

She was born on July 14th, 1987. When STEVEN was released from prison on September 11, 2003; she was already 16.

(8) I am not an expert at law, but I do believe MARIE's statements to W. BALDWIN constitute an accusation of felony sexual assault.

(9) Statements by JODI STACHOWSKI & TAMMY WEBER corroborate MARIE's claim that STEVEN had sex w/MARIE, likely during the summer of 2004, when KAYLA was 16 or 17.

MARIE claims STEVEN forced her to have sex, while WEBER's statement shows KAYLA coming to STEVEN's home voluntarily.

(10) Regardless of the law, STEVEN's sexual relationship with MARIE was undoubtedly very damaging to her, and it explains why her step-sister KAYLA hated STEVEN so much when she gave her written statement to the police.

KAYLA wrote in huge letters: I HATE STEVEN A LOT.

(11) Unfortunately, KAYLA's statement heavily embroiled BRENDAN in this fiasco. She claimed BRENDAN told her things before Ashley's Birthday Party, but when was that? Does anyone know?

(12) I decided to publish this thread after yesterday's hearing on Kayla's Temporary Restraining Order (TRO).

Kayla's struggles, after MARIE's sexual assault, are quite understandable. The evidence suggests Steven is not guilty of Teresa Halbach's murder, but what of Marie?

(13) Kayla wanted to see Steven back in jail; she hated him for what he did TO MARIE.

And somehow her hatred got Brendan caught up in the currents of this whole mess. She recanted her statement in court, but her written statement was introduced as evidence against Brendan.

(14) When Kayla testified at Brendan's trial, she gave the last name of her cousin Ashley, whose Birthday Party she referenced in her written statement about Brendan. Her last name was "Chevalier".

Kayla says Ashley's Birthday was in February.

(15) So Brendan may have made remarks to Kayla in February AFTER Wiegert & Fassbender started questioning him, and Kayla may have been feeding back the same poisoned story.

Ashley Chevalier's birthday party date may tell us how likely that was.

(16) @PubTender2 came up with Ashley's birthday. It's February 19th, 1992.

February 19th fell on a Saturday in 2005, so this could have been the date of the party.

(17) Turning to TickTockManitowoc on Reddit I quickly have found a timeline for Brendan's interrogations.

It says Kayla's first interview with investigators came on February 20th. In this interview Kayla does not provide details that she later included.

(19) On February 20th, KAYLA told the police about her concerns regarding BRENDAN (left), but she didn't mention any of the incriminating details she included in her March 7th statement (right).

(20) Fassbender & Wiegert (F&W) first interview Brendan on Monday, February 27th. At this time, Kayla has not given them any details of what Brendan said he saw, and we know the details she eventual gives were part of F&W's leading questioning.

(21) F&W continue to pound Brendan culminating in DA Ken Kratz's and Sheriff Jerry Pagel's March 2nd press conference, releasing details of Brendan's confession to a wide public audience, undoubtedly including Kayla.

(22) After the Kratz & Pagel (K&P) press conference, Kayla's school counselor tells the police that she may be traumatized and obsessed with the purported crime.

The police take her statement on March 7th, and it now contains details that match K&P's press announcement.

(23) If Brendan talked to Kayla on or before Ashley's Birthday party (likely Feb 19th), why didn't she bring up these details in her original police interview on Feb 20th?

If Brendan hadn't, it's clear that Ken Kratz poisoned this witness on March 2nd.

(24) More recently, MARIE AVERY, KAYLA AVERY's older step sister, denied the statements she made to W. BALDWIN.
