Our latest report is out. In the thirteen months leading up to March 31, 2021 Stop AAPI Hate received 6,603 reports of hate incidents directed at Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. (1/5)

A few trends: Verbal harassment and name calling still make up the lion's share of incident reports, accounting for 65.2% of incidents. Reports of shunning and/or avoidance and physical assault are also common. (2/5)

Gender, language, and religion are increasingly cited as motivating factors for discriminatory behavior though race is still understood to be a factor in 91.2% of cases. (3/5)

64.8% of hate incidents were reported by women. In contrast, 29.8% were reported by men and 2.9% were reported by nonbinary individuals. (4/5)
