mcyttwt needs to learn the difference between a "comment made in bad taste" and "person actively doing harmful shit maliciously"
also ppl need to stop digging up old mistakes from months or years ago as a gotcha whenever somebody says smth you disagree with. it's never good faith criticism and it never comes from a place of genuine concern; you are just trying to justify yourself & feel morally superior
also the fact that people can take a one minute clip of somebody making an observation that anybody else could have made (if poorly worded/in bad taste) & then extrapolating that to making horrific claims and assumptions about them as a person is... disgusting?
yes this is about the hbomb situation, yes I fully believe all of this is happening bc the ppl mad at him are unfamiliar with him/his content & therefore are much more willing to tear him down as a person and as a content creator and assume the worst of him
use your brains and stop assuming the worst of people. learn how to be optimistic and have some faith instead of immediately leaping to conclusions and then starting actual smear campaigns just because a person made a tweet that you disagreed with
(and for the record: if you heard that comment he made and felt legitimately uncomfortable with it & want to disengage w him, that's valid, and this isnt abt you. this is abt ppl falsely accusing him of the worst shit.)
tl;dr twitter is the new blue hellsite and every day I wish more that tumblr would scratch the itch the way that twitter does so that I can stop looking at this awful awful website
