SUMMARY OF JACK MANIFOLD'S "he said sorry... | Dream SMP" LORE STREAM (5/6/21)

thread :)
- the stream begins with a flashback to Wilbur's stream, when Wilbur apologized to Jack
- afterwards, Jack stands in disbelief in the hotel lobby, speechless. He's surprised that Wilbur apologized, and that the apology was heartfelt
- Jack is surprised that Wilbur apologized to +
/him/, but expected Wilbur to apologize for everything he did anyway
- the main thing he's surprised about is the direct apology from Wilbur, about and for the things Jack has been through
- Jack says the apology is "weird" to him since Wilbur remembered what he had done to Jack
- Jack keeps repeating the fact that it's weird to him, also saying he doesn't know how to feel because nobody has ever apologized to him before and that he didn't expect an apology
- he doesn't know if he's ready to forgive yet, saying that he's never given it much thought
- Jack says that Wilbur was a friend, before he "did all he did", and says that unlike Tommy, Wilbur is nice and is working on redeeming himself
- he feels like this is an opportunity to get his friend back, saying "that's kind of all I've ever wanted"
- Jack says that usually he'd want to get revenge, but the apology has made him feel understood and fulfilled
- he recounts him and Niki's promise to "be worse" and says that Wilbur's revival makes his efforts feel fruitless
- he asks why Tommy can't do the same, saying that he +
was treated the same by both Wilbur and Tommy.
- Jack decides to work on his pub, saying that if Wilbur wants to prove his intentions he'll sit and have a pint with Jack
- Jack thought he'd have to get revenge against Wilbur and the apology is making him question his morals
-he doesn't know if he's in the right anymore, saying that he's in moral turmoil and that he'd rather have clear-cut morals
- he says he gave Tommy a few chances and still got hurt, making him more confused as to whether or not he should forgive Wilbur
- Jack doesn't know where Wilbur learned what he did wrong to Jack, saying that Wilbur died not knowing who Jack was and that he never interacted with Ghostbur
- Jack thinks that Wil's time in the afterlife allowed him to reflect upon and change his views
- he declares that maybe Wilbur isn't such a bad guy and that maybe he's finally getting his friends back
- Jack continues to work on his pub.
Lore updates from the stream:
- Jack has given up on becoming a prison guard.
- He canonically drinks when emotionally conflicted, and his character was drunk during the stream.
- Jack expands the Manifold Empire to get funds to kill Tommy.
- He got Kanye'd by Ponk.
- Jack plans to team up with Foolish to investigate the nuke theft.

Quote from today's stream: "People are making me feel... thankful. I'm feeling thankful for the people that hurt me, which is a bit weird."
