All three states have been trending more toward the Democrats over the last two elections. The GOP did worse, margin-wise, in Presidential elections in 2020 than in 2016 and in 2016 than in 2012.

And, since 2008, the GOP has done worse in these states the higher the percentage of the population votes.

All three states are controlled by a combination of a GOP Governor and a GOP State Legislature.

And all three states have Gubernatorial elections next year.
