I swear, if you went to every meeting from every city/planning/zoning/county/etc etc etc board for your neighborhood, you'd be averaging three or four meetings a night which is absurd and also this is on purpose.

"Hi, why is there molten lava rolling down my street?"

Well, don't you know? We had a vote at the Super Special Extra Plan Meeting last Monday at 4am to rezone your block as a Volcano Block. What, you weren't there?

"I went to seven other meetings that night."

Too bad!

"Ok, now there are dead bodies floating on the lava."

Oh, did you miss the meeting to rezone your block as Funeral Row?

"Actually, I went to ten different meetings over three months about the Funeral Row thing. Why did this meeting suddenly have a vote?"

Ah hah!

"Look, I'd really like to attend your Traffic Safety meeting, but it's at the exact same time as a BOE meeting, a Cultural Affairs meeting, and Let's Stop the Molten Lava meeting."

Hey, if your neighborhood doesn't want to be represented, there's really nothing much we can do.

*At the meeting, which is literally at 3am on Christmas Eve and was only announced two hours ago on a message chain only five people are on and all of them work for the city*
