My thoughts for Real madrid next season
This is with all the players out of contract, gone, and no rumored confirmed transfers
I will go position by position and explain why i’ve chosen who i’ve chosen

This is the current RMA best starting XI on paper. We notice some areas of weakness that could be improved

Goalkeeper:
No change. Courtois is the best ITW and Lunin is a good backup

Rb: With no Vazquez, who isn’t even a RB, we lack depth in this position. I would go for Emerson because he is young and experienced in La liga. From what I’ve seen of betis, he is strong defensively

Right CB: No changes here

Left CB: With the Ramos contract situation confusing, and the Alaba signing not confirmed, I have chosen Pau Torres. Spanish, left footed and good on the ball. Villareal are reliant on him in the back and he would be a great choice

Left back: Mendy is one of the most important players in the team. He should stay. I don’t see us selling Marcelo so we should keep him. If we do sell him, I can see Wijndal as a good option

CDM: Casemiro is the reason this team functions. He plays every minute. While he is capable of doing that, we’ve seen that he can get tired. Koopmeiners is a great DM for PSV and from what i’ve seen and read, he passes very well.
If not, Blanco is a good back up as well

CM: With modric not officially signing a new contract, Fede is the natural replacement. Aouar and odegard was a 50/50 and I really like Aouar so he should be the back up

CM: Kroos is staying and controls the team. If he’s not on form, which is rare, the team isn’t. Isco is spanish and provides that extra something so I can see him as a backup. And if not him, Odegard is also good

RW: Mbappé. That’s who we need and that’s who i think we’ll get. Rodrygo as a back up and then eventually replace him when Benz leaves and mbappé turns back into a striker

ST: Benzema is top 3 striker itw and a top 5 player. Jovic hasn’t been good this season but he is still young so we should give him chances and he’s better than mariano

LW: Vini has shown flashes of brilliance this season and with more experience, he will become more consistent. Cucurela is a good back up but since he used to play for Barça, I can see us staying with asensio and I’m ok with that

Manager: Zidane. Even with injuries this season, we were 1 game away from the champions league final and we are in the la liga title race. He has shown stubbornness in the past to the players and systems which have brought him success previously but he has also shown change this
