Get your money? There's a new copyright infringement lawsuit vs. Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino over This is America. It's not by Jase Harley (apparently he's cool with it). It's another song. And here's what's fascinating about it. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/20699581-nwosuocha_v_glover_this_is_america_complaint_vs_childish_gambino
It was just last week I wrote about copyright infringement lawsuits over a flow. I could only think of two that arguably over a flow: the Truth Hurts lawsuit and the "7 rings" lawsuit vs. Ariana Grande. https://twitter.com/MarkJKings/status/1387759362865655810
I don't think those lawsuits acknowledged they were suing over a flow, however.

This new one vs. Childish Gambino. The flow is critical to the lawsuit:
More. The flows are discussed in the expert report attached to the Complaint.

The plaintiff's song in a TMZ article the lawsuit. You can compare. I think the similar flow is key to their claims. That's it. The plaintiff's song sounds less like This is America than Jase's song does.
I don't know if there have been other lawsuits over rapper's flow, or if there ought to be. Before Blurred Lines changed what we know about "your song kind of sounds like my song" lawsuits I wouldn't have expected any.
I don't know of any reason for a court to treat a rapper's flow differently than any other melody.

I suspect, however, the plaintiff will have a hard time proving it's original to him.
