So far today I've added more of a Kiowa construction to the cradleboard and I've begun adding a more Kiowa weave to the blanket around the lady. If you missed earlier posts, this is a representation of my customer's spirit guide.

I work with spirits to find accurate images to represent who they were in a previous lifetime. Simply put, I'm a spirit medium artist. I don't get to do portraits of North American indigenous people too often, so this is a treat for me as an artist.

Next I'll finish the blanket weave and then I'll do a diffused background. I try to keep my backgrounds kind of vague because I prefer to keep the focus on the people in the portraits.
