I do not subscribe to the back-breaking, self-care-sacrificing ideaology that is tied to motherhood.

Been there, done that. Never going back.
"Moms eat last"
"Moms shower last"
"Moms go to bed last"
"Moms gets nice things last"
"Moms get their needs met last."

WHY DO WE HAVE TO BE LAST?

Short Answer: We don't have to
I have a very healthy balance between putting myself first and putting my role as a mother first.

I'm not ONLY a mother. It's not my only job, it's not my only role.
I have to make sure I'm showing up for myself & staying healthy in all aspects so that I can create a healthy environment for my children.
My support system allows for this, and I truly hope we get to a point where all mothers can have a support system whether it's from their community, their peers, or their family.
